Fiddle with a dpa microphone...Go ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
I will be getting my model II with tone match this week. I play fiddle and have a dpa microphone attached to the fiddle. Is there any setting for this mic in the tone match? It is a wonderful mic that I believe is made in Denmark Calvin Vollrath St. Paul Alberta Canada

You might try the Utility category, Electric Violin preset. Then switch to the zEQ settings to 'fine tune'. I don't know what EQ the default preset applies, but I suspect that ToneMatch setting will then set the zEQ controls to 'match' the violin's range. Might also try some of the Audix mic presets, particularly the VX or SCX mics.

Hi Calvin, That's really exciting about your new purchase. Please be sure to check that you have the latest software in your system. We've made a number of improvements. Here's a link to the firmware updates. Which dpa microphone do you have. I used one of their headworn mics and we did a Tonematch preset for it. Let me know what model you have on the chance it's the same. With best regards, Ken

Im using the DPA 4099 g for guitar and took off all of the tone match settings and it sounds awsome. Added a bit of reverb.
