Is there a setting for the direct box output of a Line 6 Variax? This is the XLR output of the power supply/footswitch. If not, can someone suggest one? Thanks in advance.

Hi The Gigmeister, Based on this...
I would run the XLR output from the Variax to the T1® Channels 1,2, or 3. Set the trim level so that it never goes in the red. The colors on the T1® are a little different from your Classic because the T1® trim uses 3 colors. You want to have a good solid green signal with occasional flickers of yellow. If you are seeing flickers of red, turn down the trim. For more detailed notes see: T1® Gain Staging. Then, I would use the T1® ToneMatch Category: Acoustic Guitar, Try different Presets. Some may sound better than others depending on what settings you choose on the Variax. If you don't want to have to think about a bunch of Presets, I would probably the Acoustic Guitar preset that sounded overall the best, and then try hitting the Preset Bypass button (the leftmost button under the display). From there, I would tweak the sound using the zEQ. That's how I would start, but if you have more time, you could try different combinations of Presets with Variax settings and when you hit a combination you really like, you can save it as a Scene. Also - check out the Taylor Guitar Category of Presets. You might find something you like in there. Does that help?
