First off, I want to say hello to all of my fellow L1/L2 owners on the forum. Since purchasing our L1/1 sub and T1 to match a couple of weeks ago, I've been reading a lot of interesting things here in the forums. Mostly about connections, troubleshooting, and updates. I've discovered some great tips and do's and dont's. One of the best forums I've ever been in! Anyway, this is my first post and I knew to come here to ask for a little help.
Currently, I'm running the T1 into channel 3 on the L1 as recommended. We run our EV767a vocal mics into channels 1&2 on the T1. I then run my Takamine EF341SC into my BBE Sonic Stomp(for that extra 'umph!') and out to channel 3 on the T1. Here's my dilemma. I also have a Brian Moore 21.13 iGuitar along with a Roland GR20 guitar synth that I want to start using again. Any suggestions on how to connect this set-up using the T1 and it's presets? I've done some searching around the forums and have found users of both iGuitars and Roland synths, but haven't come across any connection schemes that is similar to mine. I'd appreciate any and all input! Thanks guys and I look forward to chatting with some of you. |

Hey there Solster,
First, it was nice getting to know you a bit in your post Jazz, Latin, R&B, Blues, Classic Rock, Soul, Americana : 3 Piece : Sol Patch. I used to have a nice Brian Moore, and it's one of those axes... I still don't know why I let it go. Really great ergonomics and playability. I think I would run the GR 20 into the T1® Channel 4/5 run it either flat (presets bypassed) or take a run through the Electric Guitar Presets to see if there is anything t here that sounds better. I typically run my VG-8 and VG-88 into T1® Channel 4/5 flat. |

Thanks ST. Yeah, I've loved using the Brian Moore since I got mine a couple of years ago. I was also thinking about selling it to get the L1 set-up we have now. Luckily, a we landed a few great paying gigs to help with the cost of the L1 and I got to keep my beloved Brian Moore!
Anyway, I'm still having a problem with the connection scheme. I want to be able to use the RMC piezo, synth, and electric mix. Also, is it possible to add the electric to the mix without going through a separate amp? Line 4/5 piezo and electric? Piezo direct from Brian Moore and electric from the GR20 into T1 and the synth into the L1 channel 1 or 2 using the remote to control the mix? Would love your input on what would work best. |

Hi Solster,
Have you tried using the inputs on your Model I (or Classic) Power Stand? I mean, have you considered running the GR 20 mono to Channel 4, for example and that frees up a channel on the T1® for the Piezo for example. OR You could also run the Brian Moore Electric output through a tube preamp or some kind of pedalboard a and take that into the Model I (or Classic) Power Stand Channel 1. You could then run the Piezo output to the the Model I (or Classic) Power Stand Channel 2. The GR 20 could go into Model I (or Classic) Power Stand Channel 4. That way you have all of your outputs from the Brian Moore running directly to the Model I (or Classic) Power Stand. It might be more convenient to manage that way. What do you think? Gotta run. |
