Hi all, i am new to this forum and hope that I have posted in the rigt place. I Got my new L1 compact today. I just realized this afternoon that this unit not only serves as a great acoustic amp but is also an awesome electric guitar monitor. I had always wanted a full house monitor for my electric / amp set up and tried it out this afternoon. I used an Sm58 beta. Nice perfect for when i do acoustic and electric gigs, like tonight. So the idea is to put the amp on say the left side of me and the bose to the right. I get the nice floating sound i have been wanting for a longtime. I do the same with the acoustic. One output to the bose the other output to the house.
On the sound department, awesome! Very happy. Happy strummings to all!
Yup it's a pretty versatile unit. The other guitar player in my band uses the compact with a POD HD500 for his entire guitar rig. He can actually make one trip from the car and carry his guitar, HD500 and the Bose compact without breaking his back and he's set up in under 5 min. I have some L1 model II's but I am also providing sound for other vocalists and other instruments. For guitar the compact cuts through nicely even stacked up against my model II's. For a lot of situations he has taken to just plugging into an empty slot on one of the T1's (if we need the extra stage space). That's just for convenience in certain situations.
