Here is a YouTube video of our last gig in Munich / Germany: reonator guitar, bass, stomp and vocals. The song is called 'Good Bye Anna" from our first CD 2006. The L1 works great with the L1 system (we use a classic and T1); the bass has the Fender Active Jazz preset, the guitar goes flat and is combined with a mini mic. Hope you like it:

REALLY nice!
Excellent sound & amazing video quality.
Snappy tune.
What kind of headset mics are those?
I used to have feedback issues with my Crown and Model II.
Those work great up close to the system.

Good job. Couple of questions:
1. What kind of headsets are you using?
2. What was used to record the video?

Thanks!

Hi everybody, thanks for your kind comments. We use DPA 4088 headsets. They are not really cheap (around 500,00 € each + 500,00 € for the Sennheiser transmitter). But thex do sound great and are quite resistent to feedback issues. They produce them in Denmark. Here is the link to their English site: http://www.dpamicrophones.com/en.

I dopn't know anything about the video equipment. But the setup was very simple. We'll meet the guy on Friday when we record another show in Munich. This one will take place under much beter conditions: really concert atmosphere and not so much party as it was in the Stragula Live Club where we recorded 'Good Bye Anna".

Thanks for the additional info Ralph, and of course, nothing good is cheap.
I'm looking into them.

BTW...I had Good Bye Anna going thru my head all evening yesterday!
It's a hit.

Drumr, thank you! The DPA 4088 mics are top notch. We use the Audix-OM5 preset for them and the live vocal sound is absolutely satisfying. They are hypercardioid microphones.

Please, listen to that one: 1st song starts automatically: Rooftop song. Hope you like it!)

Hi Ralph, Rooftop Song is another great tune!
What are you tapping your foot on?
It sounds like a Porchboard Bass through the L1 Compact.

BTW, you were right about that mic, my dealer here in the US has them for $630/shipped.
But it looks like a nicer head mounting system than the old Crown.

Drumr, for producing our stomp sound we use a case lid and place a Shure Beta 91 bass drum mic underneath. We use the BOSE kick drum preset - that's it. It works great. If you like you can get a huge bassdrum-like stomp with lots of power. When we played a big open air over here the mixer (a reall rock fan) pushed this thing high! The porch board seems to be a nice piece of gear but we love the very lively sound of this acoustic stomp.

The DPA head mounting system ist very light and often used in theatre applications. Tonewise it is absolutely not a compromise.

I'm happy you like the Rooftop song!

Ralph
