Not sure that our wedding counts as a gig (and certainly not a rehearsal) - so we're not sure where this post belongs... perhaps a moderator could move it somewhere appropriate?

We came to the USA to get married - at the Taylor Guitar factory in El Cajon in California. The ceremony took place in their marketing suite with wall to wall guitars - and numerous guitar amps etc... and, sure enough, there was an L1 there too. The PR Manager told us they use it in the suite when inviting dealers and also on roadshows etc - she seemed intrigued about the Compact/T1 combination, so maybe you'll see them using that too in future demos.

And the factory? And wedding? Exhilarating, wonderful! They allowed us to play lots of guitars and we even played a couple of them in our ceremony. We played and sang acoustically as there were only a few of us there, otherwise we'd have used the L1.

Congratulations to both of you. Maybe a Bose conference for your first anniversary?

Thanks for the good wishes - and, yes, we'd love to come over for a Bose conference... we had hoped something might have been happening this summer, but that thread seemed to die away. Here's hoping for next year... count us in, seriously, yes.

There were lots of photos, but as we're still in the USA (Tacoma, WA just now) we don't have ready access to our usual photo/graphics software - we'll sort them all out when we get back to the UK. However, our blog does have a couple of pictures of the wedding day:

And we bought the custom Jumbo that Val played - it'll be shipped to arrive shortly after we get home. Big Grin

Hi ST

Thanks for the invite, we'd have loved to get there but it's not really feasible... when we arrived from the UK and went through customs/immigration we were told that as our declaration of travel plans hadn't included anywhere outside the USA we shouldn't travel beyond the borders as there was no guarantee that we'd be allowed back in!

Congrat's Jimmy and Val. What a great wedding. My wife would never had gone for that. She knows I'd have an alteria motive (cannot resist new guitars).

Congratulations! Wow... devotion to each other and Taylor Guitars... a winning combination! (As you recall I own several myself, but am already married.)

Best to you both in life and music together!
