Folks, I play a solo acoustic guitar gig every Sunday from 11am-2pm at Famous Daves Barbeque and Blues in Uptown Minneapolis. I play an electric-acoustic Takamine. I play fingerstyle in a variety of styles. I used the PAS (without the sub-woofer) for the first time on this gig last Sunday. The results were nothing less than sublime. The sound from the speakers seemed to cover the crowd like a warm ocean mist. I used a $99 Digiverb stomp box to sweeten the sound (I like the bass notes to ring whilst I dance around on top of them.) The dynamic range was incredible. For those of us with regular house gigs it is often too easy to switch on "auto-pilot" play the gig, grab the check, and split. I was actually seduced into new ideas, riffs, voicings, etc. and was generally smitten with the whole affair. I happened on a brilliant little riff (kinda Booker T. Jones and the MG's) that in the next few weeks will be another new number. The Bose PAS- great sound and another tool to ward off "writers block." That is as good as it gets. Paul Metsa, Mpls., MN
