Hey all - I'm a recent (and THRILLED) addition to the L1 family. Solo performer - a couple acoustics, a mic and my L1. It's funny to watch people's reactions - barely take you seriously when it takes me 15 minutes to 'set up.' Everyone's used to seeing a sound guy spend an hour setting up.

Then I power up! Wink

Question; I'm on a compact so the T1 bracket isn't compatible (I read they differed compatibility per aesthetics - come on!). I just ordered my mic stand clamp for the T1. I notice it's the same set up, just instead of sliding into a bracket connected to my l1, it slides into the clamp, on the mic stand.

My concern is that the T1 doesn't seem all that secure, delicately perched on the single-post mount design.

Have any of you had issues with the T1 coming loose/falling off its mount - on either the mic stand or the L1 bracket?

My mic preference is to contact the mic, so at times I'll 'knock' the mic stand. Is it going to fall?

Dave

I don't try to play songs people like to hear. I try to make the songs that I play songs that people like to hear.

Hi

If you rock your mic stand then by all means tape your tonematch to it because sooner or later it will fall off. Bose has to design a much better way to attach that Tonematch to the mic stand.
I play keyboards and have velcr'ed it to the top of my keyboard. I also have an Xstand witha metal shelf that I have placed a velcro strip for the Tonematch. Hope this helps.

Hi Dave,

I too use the T1's Mic Stand adapter.
Here's how I secure it:
Keep a Velcro Cable Wrap on the T1 end of your mic and line cables.
After plugging in, wrap the velco around the mic stand above the T1.
If the T1 comes off the bracket, the velco wraps will keep it from hitting the floor.

Knocking over you mic stand is another matter.
No cure for that other than care.
I use tripod type stands, much better than round weighted bases.
You can also tape down the tripod legs.

Interesting......I changed form Tripod stands to Weighted stands because they take up less space on stage and can be used as a prop more effectually. In either even I would not put my Tonematch on a stand unless I was sure I would not hit it in an upwards motion.
