Hi, We are using single PAS and 2 x B1's for a trio (and have the drummer running directly out with his Kick Mic) into a Powered Mackie Sub - he doesn't go into the PAS at all and it sounds fine as his Snare is loud enough without micking up. We run minidisc and 3 x vocals into a mixing desk and then run into the PAS - preset 00 Channel 1, and Bass goes into Channel 2 - preset 000, as I use a Zoom B2 as my outboard EQ. My querie is this - as we have another mackie Powered Sub ,and we don't have the Packlite here in Australia yet, I want to use the 2nd Mackie Sub for Bass. Should I run into the sub from the output XLR of the PAS Bass Channel (Chanel 2) or run from the PAS using the Bass Line Out? I used the sub at a gig last night by running out of the output from my Bass chanel and it sounded awesome. Dioes anybody use these scenarios and how do they work for you?

The Bass Line Out (1/4") will be "colored" by the built-in B1 EQ curve (as long as you have B1's actually plugged into the Amp3/Bass Speakon connection). From what I've read here, you'd be best to use (as you did) the XLR LineOut from Channel 2 (where your bass instrument is plugged into). Just remember the R1 Remote volume control has no effect on the signal sent out to the external sub -- you have to balance it's volume separately with the sub's controls.
