Hi, I have been playing bass and singing with my L1 mod1 and T1 and 2B1's in our loud rock band. I am happy with the results, but I would like to have more colouration available for the bass sounds. I know lots of people are using the pod xp, but is anyone using the x3? I wonder about using that instead of the T1,
vocals through a tube preamp model, and various amp models for my bass. Has anyone tried that? Is there be a problem with the stereo TRS outputs on the POD going into channels 3 and 4, (I remember reading discussions about problems with stereo piano samples). Or would I be better off with the x3 live having XLR outs instead? how about using the USB output? I would appreciate any thoughts. Thx Ed |

The benefit to the T1 still being used to connect with a POD is that you can
a) use the Line 6 Tone Match b) control the volume, mix on the fly from wherever you put the T1 I've played with the X3's at stores and like what I see. Even better modelling more control, sort of. While it's deeper in terms of what you can tweak, some things (like output mode) aren't quite as quick to adjust as they used to be. I'm not sure if it's a fully balanced signal, but I like the warmth of analog and the clarity of an XLR cable. Again, all personal preference and in no way any sort of "definitive answer". |
