Although the T1 bass presets are not necessarily models of amps (maybe in the future?), the changes in eq in conjunction with the L1 system enable me to play direct into the T1 without a preamp for the gig.
I have found that I like Active Bass 2, The '66 P, the '69 J, and the NS Bass-dark settings (depending on the room). Am I missing any bass hidden gems in the T1? |

I like the '69 J for "hi-fi" and the Rickenbacker 4001 for "vintage".

I generally adjust to the room via EQ, and use the presets primarily for voicing. - Active Bass 2 for Magnatone Hurricane & Gibson EB0 (diff. EQ settings for each) - Rickenbacker 4001 for Ric 4001 - Upright w/ Fishman for Kona Walking Stick (Nylon String) |

In my opinion the best way to do this is going out from a Preamp or maybe a Lineout and using not a lot of T1...I use paraEq if i need to cut something in HF for different kind of sounds, But What i've learned is that you need at least 4 B1 model to use the System as the only source for your Bass.

I experienced this the other night (line out from a combo) and it sounded excellent.
I only have 2 B1's, but use a 700 watt powered sub for larger places (and I support the kick in my system). Generally, the biggest limitation I run into is not so much headroom, but vocal feedback when you want to turn it up (master past 1 o'clock). |

This probably could be a solution

Just got back from my gig and I used the Gage Realist preset for my upright. Granted that the purests may not dig it, but for this Upright player playing rock and blues, my bass tone killed with just 2 B1's. Many people complimented me on the tone and the preset sat me in the mix perfectly.
