Can anyone out there offer a suggestion for compressor settings when slapping? Even with light compression, it creates an annoying "pumping" of the gain. I've minimized it by altering the threshhold setting but I'm wondering if I'm missing something?

AlembicMike,
Sorry I have missed this post until now. The 'light' compression is pretty light. Its a 2:1 ratio with fairly fast attack and release times. That would be my pick for slapping, threshold adjusted to taste. I don't think you are missing anything... By the end of your experimentation were you happy with the sound you were getting? MikeZ |

Yes, I've been able to find the right setting. I'm finding the T1 to very versitile even when used with a conventional bass amp. Mike

MIkeZ, Is there a place where I could look to find out what the exact settings are for each of the different Compressor settings? i.e. Ratio, Attack, Release etc... Thanks, -W |

Will, The specs for our compressors aren't published. I'd have to look them up myself, I don't remember off the the top of my head from when they were developed. What are you trying to achieve? MikeZ |

Thanks MikeZ,
I figured it might be better to respond in the "L1 Model II and T1 ToneMatch™ Audio Engine" Forum. Thanks for getting the conversation started AlembicMike! -Will |
