Is it best when using a bass pod or preamp
to run into channel l one or use 3? The only
concern I have is overloading input 3; with
input 1 you have red light warning. Also do you need some kind of DI going direct into channel
1 or 2? I have a fender american p-bass passive.
If drums and bass each have L1/2-b1 CAN AND WHAT IS BEST WAY TO LINK SUBS.

Hi Nebadon2000,

If you are concerned about levels, set channel one to flat, hook up your POD and find where you optimize the input. Move to channel three and set the trim to the same level. You should be good.

No need for a DI unless you are using a tube DI for the effect. I use an SVT DI for the tube vibe when I want it. It creates a natural compression and more of an "amp" sound on the bass.

A passive P Bass can benefit from the new 2.0 presets and remote's eq.

Someone else was asking me about ganging up the systems for added bass. I went back through the manual to see if it is mentioned and it is not. I'll speculate that the way to try it would be to go from Bass line out from one system to Bass Amp in (might be a switched input) or channel 4 (would give you a level control) for instance. (I sure this has been discussed and someone will chime in if this is forbidden) I would avoid this since it would reduce the overhead in each system. I think you'd be better off buying two or four more of B1's and using a power amp or the extended bass package to supplement.

Thanks Dan;I also have a SWR PB200 that I can use the pre out. I just started using the system a week ago and we had rehersal and a Gig right after
and I got an acceptable sound quicker with the pod
I am going to need some time with the SWR. I thought the Kick would benefit from linking subs with out the expense of a sub package or adding a powerd/active sub. I did sound for the band before we all switched to BOSE PAS we had Mackie 1521 actives and 2 18" ev active subs; when playing in clubs I think a dynamic Kick is important.
