Just got myself another pair of B1's for my L1 and a packlite, with store credit after turning in my old PA at GC.
Sounded sweet in the house. Can't wait for next band practice to really give it a go. The bass it truly thumpalishous now. |

I'm interested in this...I'mjust now convinced to go with the L1 instead of traditional as bass player for a rock band...my 2 B1's are great...I'm wondering what 2 more will do!

dodger,
in my opinion and experience, for louder work 2 b1's will do a 100-150 person room (with a non-captive audience :-) ). 4 b1's gives you ability to play a 250-300 person room. the basic tone is the same - just louder when you add the additional B1's. mikeZ |

Hi guys I'm new here, & FYI I've been playing in bands for over 35 years. Because of age, quality of sound, blaw, blaw, blaw, We purchased 2 L1's, & 12 B2's (6 per side with 4 packlites) we solely use this system for everything, & I mean everything,( no back up amps). First off; this system is so far beyond everything we have ever used, & let me say we've used all the top brands, When we play, it still raises the hair on my skin. it feels that good. as for as bass, & bass drum, well let me say this. heaven forbid , but if somebody had a heart attack, & their heart stopped.... well I think I could get their heart started again just with the massive thump from this system, I mean you can feel this from the inside out, not from the outside in. love it!

Wow...that's a lot of B1s!
That would be fun to play around with. We have 10-B1s for three systems (and three players). 4 each for bass and drums. What is the make-up of your band? |

Hey drumr how are ya. well I can tell you it is'nt like the old days. there were 5 of us, then about 13 yrs. ago, we were down to 3. Now our drummer left for warmer weather in Florida. Now I don't have to tell you how timimng is everything when it comes to music, & being tight, Here in our area good drumers are hard to find, let alone the mid 50's age, so now we're down to 2 of us. We still do a full show except now we record our drums, & use midi.We play strictly rock-n-roll from late 60's to the 90's. 90% of our music is good hot sweaty dance material, & the ladies love it. I play bass, & my partner plays Guitar. We've known, & played together for over 40 years. there's something about making music that just says you can't quit.I still get a kick out of peoples reactions when we play, they just can't believe the sound. Thank you Bose!

Hi, nebass!
We have a 4 piece rock band that plays the same type of stuff......4 player,4 systems, and you still have more B1s than us!(we have 11 total) Sometimes on outdoor shows our drummer and bass player share 8 B1s, and the kick drum is huge. I'll bet you guys sound awesome. Best wishes, Jeff |
