1 = An FX on/off footswitch capability
2 = SD slot. Not only for unlimited storage of presets but can also play MP3's!!! This means we could do away with CD's/Ipods/laptops etc. Thus freeing up channels which could be used by other instruments. You would need to increase the size of the screen to cover for the MP3 info.
3 = Or make the USB do the same job as above, only with a external hard drive.
On the back of the T1 where the lead plugs in from the base of the speaker, does anyone else find it a bit anoying that you have to push in the metal *pin* to release the lead? Actually, I think it's more that the *pin* is so tightly fitted to the top ridge of the unit that you have to use both hands, one to push the pin in and one to pull the lead out. I usually pull the leads out with one hand but every time I forget on this one and every time I have a brief second of a fit with myself! lol.
I already mentioned an SD Card slot but would like to recommend a BUILT IN FLASH DRIVE like an iPod uses. The largest iPod holds 160 Gigs of space and is 5 times smaller than a T1. 160 Gigs would be over kill so I would recommend 40 to 50 Gigs. That should be more than enough for user scenes, added effects and MP3's.
Another request is being able to use the AUX as a monitor mix WITH Reverb.
2nd all of that, would love to be able to do away with my laptop for backing tracks. The system as it stands is great and for me is not only about the quality of sound, but also being able to set up and pack away very quickly. Not having to set up, boot up etc a laptop is very appealing.
Yes. I have the same problem. I usually have my wife with her long nails push in the metal pin, "or" I carry a pencil and use the eraser end to do the dirty deed!!! LOL!!!!
Music is neither new or old....it just "is"
I'd like to add to the idea of putting a built in Flash Drive into the T1 and take it a step further. Since iTunes works globally on ANY computer, it would be nice to plug the T1 via USB into your computer and be able to sink up your iTunes library the same way you would your iPod. It would take the SD card slot out of the equation for storing MP3's. An SD Card slot could still be useful for other applications on the T1, but in this case it wouldn't be needed and you could skip the middle man.
If copyrights prevent the T1 to synced up to iTunes, then I suggest Bose making a program that stores MP3's and syncs up to the T1 when you plug it in.
I know that Bose currently has a program to back up your scenes but I don't find it to be very user friendly. I wished it worked more like iTunes which is extremely user friendly and takes no learning curve at all.
Gosh!! I'd love to have that problem when using the T1 with my Compact. I really hate that wall wart power supply and the analog cord.
Every time I switch back to using my L1 MII, I sigh at how easy, neat and clean it is to hook in the T1. How does the Financial/Feature Analyst who decided to skip the T1 port on the Compact sleep at night, now knowing all the missed opportunities to upsell a T1 with the Compact?
I agree on both points. It's difficult to get your finger under the plastic lip of the T1 to push that mental tab in to release the power cord.
I also agree that the T1 port should have been included on The Compact. I'm surprised Bose didn't do that.
I'd like to add another feature request. HARMONY EFFECTS. It makes perfect sense since the L1 is promoted as "one L1 per person." Since that's the case, having harmonies built into the T1 would be an obvious addition.
So to sum up, my requests are:
Built in Flash drive.
SD card slot.
Don't worry Bose, I'm sure I'll be back to add more features to my fantasy pedal! Haha...
More User Scenes... It would be nice having a preset under Accordion and/or (free reed instrument) connected with the Sennheiser e608.
I found for my circumstance, Sennheiser e608 dynamic small capsule microphone works extremely well with the Free Reed Instruments.
Thank you for your time.
Use that usb port for foot controller, especially good after you have tap tempo worked out.
It would be nice if you can do some upgrades as suggested in this thread with the current T1.Buying a new version isn't on my list of things to do!
I want to make mention of the MIDI ports that I believe would take this unit to the next level. I believe it was mentioned on this thread prior. Being able to map the T1 to a MIDI controller would be a revolutionary step. I am quite franky surprised that BOSE did not initially incorporate this function. The ability for the T1 to talk to other DSP units via MIDI would introduce it to many non BOSE users and would most certainly increase exposure and would in turn increase sales.
USB can be used to receive and transmit midi, and the port is already there.
Since there have been so many responses to this post, I'm not sure if anyone has requested a 1/8 stereo jack. This could be very useful to run an iPod or MP3 player while taking breaks. All you need is the 1/8 insert. It doesn't need to be a channel, have EQ function or even a volume nob. The insert is all you need and the volume and EQ can be controlled by the iPod or master volume on the T1.
I'm always unplugging one of my guitars to use my iPod on my breaks, but always turn the effects and EQ off and that's why I feel making a channel for this is totally unnecessary and opens up all kinds of possibilities of where to place it.
Hi there !
Not been on the forum for a while.
Any changes or new versions to the Tonematch in the last 2 yrs ?
I'd still love the capabilites of saving my own presets for my various guitars. This way, I could call up any of my guitar presets,on the same channel, as I swap guitars during a gig.
Any way of doing this ?
I asked about this 2 or 3 yrs ago.
An individual channel scene would be a great added feature on the next Tonematch, but for now I believe an external guitar modeler pedal and a channel set to flat preset is your best bet for now.Just a thought.
Old thread, but here is my wish list:
Pink noise gen and/or RTA onboard.
A different release for the ethernet.
I'd like the ability to use the noise gate and the compressor simultaneously on the same channel. Currently I can select one or the other but not both (as far as I've been able to tell).
A five year old thread, no T2 yet?
I have been holding back some cash.
Luckily you're holding back cash and not holding your breath!
Wow, the T1 has been out for 5 years already!
I've been holding back getting a second T1 for a couple of years. I guess one of us will have to buy another T1 so the T2 can be released a few weeks later...
I've been hoping for foot control but maybe Bose is working on a thought controlled unit! The challenge with thought control would be who's thoughts the unit would respond to?? I'd rather have foot control...This message has been edited. Last edited by: Le5,
