I am would like to know the correct way to get a clean sound with the following components. Bose T1 tone match with Digitech vocalist live 3 and DI ultra sound box to my Bose L1 Compact.I tried connecting first to DI to Voc 3 to T1 and the tone isn't that good! Appreciate any help Ernie

Hi Ernie, Your Digitech Vocalist Live 3 should act as your DI box. So guitar and mic into the VL3. Then you guitar output into channel 2 and the mic output into channel 1 of the L1 Compact. Hope this helps. Tom

Yes Tom I also am using the Bose Tone Match I am going first into the VL3. Guitar in then Guitar thru to input one on Tone Match and mic into VL3 and out to Tone Match channel 2 then I connect tone match to compact 1 channel 2 line level. it works this way, but the sound quality doesn't seem as clear. I am looking for an alternative way to connect that would improve my sound quality. Do you know of one please let me know, thanks for your help Ernie

Hi Ernie, You didn't indicate if you're playing acoustic or electric. And also is it the overall tone? or just the tone on the vocals, or the guitar? Unless you have multiple microphones (vocalists), I would bypass the Tone Match (T1) mixer and go straight into the Compact - vocal on Ch 1, guitar on Ch 2 (w/ the preset on if you're playing acoustic guitar). You may also want to disable all of the effects on the VL3, as you have eq/effects on top of Tone Match presets. If you still want to use the T1, then perhaps find a different Preset for guitar? Hope this helps. Tom
