Having just received my Autumn Newsletter from Bose on the Retail Hi-Fi side extolling the use of wireless I was interested to read this: Of course, at Bose we're interested in how wireless technology can improve the ways people enjoy music. And then later on about The SoundLink™ wireless music system.

So when it's coming to our world? Don't think I want to be the first to try it but think of a life without wires! Bliss!

I'm sure it WILL come but I imagine that at the moment it's still just another thing to go wrong. An example of Voltaire's saying "The best is the enemy of the good"

Yeah that's a great idea! Wireless T1!... But... then the power would have to come from somewhere.
What may be really doable though, is a sort of built in receiver on the T1, and TRS/XLR extension transmitters... for mics and guitars, etc.

I suppose that's really what I meant, Chris. Each unit (of whatever type, keyboard, L1 etc drawing power from the mains supply but all the data wires (T1 to L1, Keyboard/guitar/mics to T1 etc) all done wirelessly.

I wouldn't dare set it up, though. The radio would produce steam and the kettle play Top Twenty. You'd have to take your own tame
FreddieBose Magician round with you to iron out the wrinkles.

Bot, OH Boy! No wires (except mains) Smile Smile

I was thinking about some cool little devices... the receiver would plug into the T1 channel of choice, and basically just "hang" there...or sit, depending on how you see it. Maybe some sort of splitter cable so it would get power from the Ethercon cable. And then a small transmitter for your instrument or microphone.

Fruityfj, I understood that you meant "except mains power" Smile My brain just started working right away when I read your post. BOSE, if you make it, Fruity and I get a cut...ok?
