Any one know if there is a built in mount or bracket that can be purchased?

THanks,

Hi Lee,

I was looking at that last night (Compact and T1® Bracket).

I don't see a way to do it. You can actually get the metal bracket to stick in the channel, but I wouldn't put any weight on it.

Don't know for sure - but I have NOT heard of any kind of special bracket.

I haven't tried because I usually use the mic stand for the T1®. I'm sure some sort of strap contraption could be made that wraps around the extension, but I wouldn't want that much weight on the tower since it's pretty light weight to begin with. Also you'd have to take anything off the extension to get it to slide back in the bag. I'd probably recommend against it.

Thought: If you had a piece of "velcro" on the bottom of the T1, and the matching piece on the handle of the L1c, would the T1 fit sideways there without interfering with the other L1c controls?

Since the "tower" of the Compact is not functional anyway, why can't you velcro or strap the T1 anywhere that is convenient?
Since I don't have a compact, I may be missing something here,(like vibrations).

Of course, being professionals, we would use the black gaffer's tape version... Big Grin

Major annoyance! I'm playing now with a Compact and a T1 and the tower is plenty strong to hold up the T1. There's even unscrewable panels along the back of the tower, but it's not the same size as the Model I/II and therefore the T1 bracket will not fit. This is easily remedied, and I hope it is just a matter of time before someone designs a Compact bracket.

I have figured it out. It hit me like a ton of bricks.
1. No connector for the T1.
2. No way to mount the T1 to the tower
3. An awkward silence from Ken & Cliff about this subject matter.

The T1 was developed with stolen alien technology from area 51. The government has tracked it back to Bose and Ken & Cliff are on the run.

Yup.......it never fails. Bose hears what we need. Researches it, develops it, releases it to waves of applause.........and then it "starts". People start poking at it, kicking it's tires to find out what's "wrong" with it and forget what is sooooooooo right with the Bose Compact! I intend to buy my compact this week and will proudly connect my Tonematch using the power cord and using my existing XStand with velcro'ed metal self and existing Velcro'ed Tonematch and wireless receiver.
I guess carrying my "PowerCord" is gonna be a hassle?......Duh?

Hi All,

Currently there is no accessory that will allow you to mount a T1 to an L1 Compact extension.

We evaluated this as an option but felt that the T1 looked to awkward and disproportionate when placed next to the mich thinner L1 Compat extension.

If you need to mount the T1, the recommented solution is to use the T1 mic stand bracket along with any standard mic stand.

As always keep the feedback coming. We are always listening.

Craig

The mounting makes a lot of sense, I use mine on the mike stand all the time.
Now about that tonematch port, what happened there?
Why is it missing?

The aesthetics of just using the digital cable makes so much sense also

Hi Joel,

Good question on the T1 port.

We designed the L1 Compact to be simple and have the right feature set to allow any user (musicians, presenters etc...) to plug and play without the need for any additional gear.

Although adding a T1 port would be a great feature for customers who already own a T1, it would unfairly penalize those who are not and do not intend to be T1 users. Athough it's not a single cable connection the T1 is fully compatable with the L1 Compact. We felt like this was a fair compromise for both of these user types.

Regards,
Craig

I'm glad for the second comment, cuz I'm quite passionate about this point. The T1 looks fantastic next to the extension! Of course it looks larger compared to what it would look like on a Model I or II, but on its own it by no means looks disproportionate. On the contrary! The whole aesthetic of the T1 looks right at home on the extension!

Part of the appeal of the Compact is that everything is so - you know - compact! I know that meant leaving out features like the Tone Module port, but the column is already there, and you're just a simple adapter away from a perfect teaming!

Naturally, if you don't like the way something looks on your tower (and the same holds for MI and MII owners), you go with an extra mic stand. But if you prefer one less mic stand in your setup (I know I'm not alone!) this seems like a no-brainer. The unscrewable rails are already there! One more little piece of metal or plastic, and we're in business! (And you know that would be incentive for selling more T1's!)

Thanks for the response Craig.

I am sure I'll either get over it, or wait and hope for a Compact Pro series down the road a bit.

Probably when I go to either GC or the Orlando Bose store, I'll check it out, buy it and be happy with the great price.

Although, if I'm going to get chewed out for spending money, another hundred or two wouldn't have made that much difference.

Hi Joel

Just got a call yesterday from my local Guitar Center in Ft Myers Fla that 7 compacts arrived. I asked them if they had a ToneMatch port and they said no...so I told them to "send them back". LOL! I intend to use the compact with tonematch for rehearsal and as a backup system for all my gigs. I also do some small charity nursing home performances and hopefully the compact will "fit" in on it's own instead of backup. Driving up your way in a week or so. Will check out the Villages, I hear they have a dynamite entertainer poolside!

If you are using a T1 or a mixer with any of the L1s wouldn't you want it close to you to make adjustments? I like mine mounted on my mic stand so it is within reach for adjustments. I never understood why you would want it mounted on the array anyway. Inquiring minds want to know....

We're with Freddy on this one... having our T1s on our mic stands is great. We can easily make adjustments if needs be, mute/unmute channels when switching guitars - without having to turn our backs on the audience and walk back to the L1.
