I'm certainly with you on this. I have gone from 2 down to a single B1 in the studio for rehearsals. Out live, at higher volumes, I honestly can't tell much difference in bass between the two systems. But I much prefer ease of cartage, set up, and overall tone of the Model II.

Even though the L1 system comes in pieces, and is overall lighter than conventional speakers, you'll still want to have a dolly of some sort handy. You personally, should be able to get all your gear (including the BOSE) inside the venue in one trip.

They have a little more weight than you think, especially if you have to carry them more than just inside the door.
