Hi There,
I tried using two L1 compacts last weekend and had a few sound issues with not enough volume & bass. I tried linking one of my bass subs in, and what a difference. I have to say that i was a bit negative towards this system at first, but after a few discussions on the forum, i am trying various configurations to get the result which suits my needs. "I'm not that far away by the sound of it". |

Hi ScotAl,
What kind of sub? How have you got that connected? Thanks! |

It's a Mackie SWA1501( I have two, but just used one in this instance ). I tried linking them up two ways, full range outputs from sub to compacts, and also the high pass outs to compacts. I felt that the sound from the full range outputs had more depth, the high pass outs were quite top end orientated. With the full range outputs being used, the whole frequency spectrum was covered(for me). With the Compacts handling the highs to lower mid(bass thump), and the sub handling the lower bass(depth)that i need for the dance music that i play. Cheers!! ScotAl |

Thanks for filling in the details ScotAl.

It would be great to see the inclusion of a sub out, along with the full range and recording outs, with any future update to the compact.
Like myself and a few others, being able to link a B1 into the system when needed, would be the best of both worlds. |

+1 on being able to use a sub and power to a T1 and can you say "perfection"...I'd have one by now.
I still might get a Compact to check out for a few days... I have a little charity gig coming up at a house and the owner plays bass... but I am thinking he'll have to have his big ole amp out there...sigh... Life IS Good... just getting a bit expensive! |
