Just bought this system and want to use it with a 6 piece band. Have no idea how to hook up with 16 channel Mackie, as our set up is this' Drums with bass drum akg and 1 overhead shure 57 mic. Bass guitar using ampeg amp, 3 fender guitars with pedals and fender amps, Roland keys with roland key amp, plus 5 shure 58 mics.Do I connect instrument amps with line out tomixer and then mixer to tonematch or L1. Please, any help would be appreciated. I'm not a techie so please give step by step help if possible. Thanks so much.

Hello barry4285,

Welcome to the forum,

I can help you here. There are multiple ways to do this but I'll give you the most straightforward approach.

Since the T1 Tonematch only has 5 inputs, the easiest way would be to run all mics and line outs of amps to your Mackie mixer. Then you would run left(mono) main out of the Mackie to 1/4 inch input on the L1 Power stand that says Analog input. Feel free to use a balanced cable here. The input on the L1 is balanced. This setup is bypassing the T1 all together.

Now if you want some of these mics to benefit from the T1's features like effects and tonematch presets you could run just those mics to the T1 instead of the Mackie. If you are going to run mics into input 4 and 5 you would have to use impedance transformers.

Please feel free to call us and let us know if you have any more questions, and thanks for your post.
