Please could you explain to me what EQ is in the very very simplest of terms (as in for a real DUMMY like me). I have a Tonematch and don't know what to do with the EQ.

Hi Jazzwise,

EQ is short for Equalization. It is used to adjust the frequency response of a sound (also known as pitch, think low vs. high notes on a piano).

The zEQ on the Tonematch is a 3-band eq, where you can adjust low, mid, and high frequencies.

The Para eq is short for Parametric, and it allows you to dial in a specific frequency (or note) and boost or reduce it.
