I play a Tom Anderson Crowdster Plus which is a stereo guitar through my Bose L1. The acoustic side of the guitar is excellent but not the humbucker. I need a small amp for that. Got ideas? Done lots of research but not finding a good amp. I will run a line out to the Bose or mic the amp. A lot of players use the Crowdster with the L1. I am hoping for some good guidance...thanks.

Hi Doug,

The amp that would work best for you will depend on the kind of music you play. There are alot of high quality low wattage small amps out there. If you are looking for something that is reasonably clean I would recommend a Fender Pro Jr which is a small but very loud all tube amp. This amp is pretty clean (unless you crank it) so you will need to put a stomp box in front of it if you want a bit of grit and want to maintain a reasonable volume.

If you are looking for higher gain small amps, there are also some great alternatives from Jet City Amplification, Vox, Orange and others.
