I purchased the L1 Model II with ToneMatch and I have a TM question: with my old mixer I had an output that would go to my laptop to record the audio and video of our practices. On the TM should I use the Aux out or the Master out? I basically want to record the audio as we or the audience hears it.

Thanks!

Matt

Hi Matt,

Welcome to the L1 Forum, and thanks for posting!

The master output should give you an exact replica of what is coming out of the L1 system. On the Tonematch, if you go to Prefs => Master Out, you have the option of pre- or post-master fader. Pre- will give you a fixed volume level, which is usually more ideal for recording.

FYI, the aux output allows you to create a separate mix, which could be useful in other applications.

Let me know if I can help any further.
