We use 4 B1's and an A1 PackLite amp for our bass/e-drum rig and it works great. But for the rare occasion when I'm renting out one or more of my extra B1's, I want to try adding a friend's powered JBL sub. I know I can take the bass line out into the sub. However, if I wish to use 2 B1's PLUS the powered sub, what is the best approach? (2 B1's plugged in as normal with Bass line out running to sub?)
Other suggestions or thoughts? Thanks, John John Sweet Bose L1(TM) Family of Products Assisted Direct Sales Rep Demos available in DC, MD, VA. 571.213.0265 South Atlantic States L1® Conference 2008 |

Hello John,
Yes you are correct. The best approach would be to connect your two B1s as normal, and then connect your powered sub to the bass line out. Thanks for your post! |

Thanks, Adam!
If I was using 4 B1's along with PackLite and wanted even more bass (unlikely - just curious), could I set up the 4 B1's as usual (2 into L1, 2 into PackLite which receives bass line out from L1), and plug the powered sub into the "thru" jack on the PackLite? Also, where should I set the crossover on the sub (L1 classic system in question) - 110hz? Hi John,
You are correct again! You would take the "thru" jack on the packlite to daisy chain into your powered sub. As far as a crossover point is concerned, that really depends on the response of your sub. The bass line out on the L1 has a crossover point set at 200 Hz, so you could set it anywhere below that to fine-tune your subwoofer. Thanks, |
