Stereo L1 operation with mono sax/stereo fx

Hi

I'm wondering if a sax going dual mono through two L1m 2's would encounter the problems of the phasing issues normally encountered with this approach, if I use an outboard STEREO fx unit on the sax, running the fx in stereo. My thinking is that this should negate the possible issues normally associated with running a mono instrument in dual mono. What does Bose think about this? I don't have all the equipment yet to try it for myself.

Hello brysava,

To answer your question in this type of situation the L1 systems should be run at least 10 to 15 feet apart to help out with the phase cancellation. Even though the effects are stereo the source is still mono. You might get a little phase cancellation in the middle with this setup depending on the situation.

Hope this helps. Any further help please call us at L1 support.

Have a great day,
