Most nights when powering on my L1 model 1 will "hiss" loudly for about 30 seconds and also sometimes emits a 'crackling' papery noise. I have changed out cables and cleaned connections but it continues. Also I get a 60 cycle hum which sometimes requires a ground lift. Other times nothing helps with the humming. Can some one help me out?

L1 Technical Support |
Hello Thomas Hurley,
I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with your L1 Model I. I can definitely help you figure it out. Could you tell me a bit more about your set up? What other pieces of equipment are connected to your L1 when you experience this hum? Has it happened in more than one location (i.e. plugged into a different circuit)? You can reply here, or call us at (877) 335-2673 when you are with the system and we can assist over the phone. Thank you for your post, |

Adam,
It happens no matter where I plug in. As for the gear that I plug in...the only thing I use is the Tone match audio engine. Into that I connect my macbook with a usb, a shure 58 wireless and a taylor acoustic guitar. That's it. I have swapped out ALL cables as I've been in this biz a long time and understand that it's almost always a bad cable. Not this time though. |
