T1 Tone Match presets gone

I just picked up a L1 Model II with Tonematch. It was a couple years old so I tried updating the software. I was able to do so and then added the Ovation and Gibson presets. Now, those are the only presets I can access. How do I do a global reset to get vocal mic presets, etc again? Thanks.

Hi The Gigmeister,

It sounds like the default ToneMatch bank was accidentally overwritten. When you open the L1 Updater Tool, in the list you will see these four options:

T1 ToneMatch Presets
T1 ToneMatch A
T1 ToneMatch B
T1 Tonematch C

"T1 ToneMatch Presets" is where the default preset bank should be stored. (The Gibson or Ovation bank is likely stored here now since you cannot access the default bank.) You can download and reinstall the default preset bank at the following link: http://www.bose.com/assets/dow...onematch_presets.zip.

T1 ToneMatch A, B, and C are where you should load the additional presets, like Ovation and Gibson.

I hope that helps. If you have addtional question, please contact our support team at the number below. Thanks!

Thanks, Bob. Next question- we did a trio gig last night and I wanted to hook up a JBL EON since we were outdoors and thought we could use some additional volume. I tried both the Aux and Main outs on my T1 and neither one worked. We ended up just using the Bose and it sounded fantastic. How would I hook this rig up going forward? Thanks.

Great, I'm glad the L1 worked out on its own! You can connect additional speakers if needed though.

The L1 systems will only power their own speakers. So, if you are using a powered speaker you can connect it to the Master or Aux output on the T1. If the speaker is not powered you would need to connect the speaker to an amp and then connect the amp to the T1 output.

Note: To use the Aux output, turn the T1's main selector knob to "Aux" and then adjust each channel's Aux output volume on the T1 display.

If you've already tried this and it didn't work, please contact us at the number below to discuss the issue for additional assistance.

Thank you,

Bob

I will do so. If I am recording using a device like the Zoom H1, I assume I should do the same, perhaps tapping off the Aux out?

Exactly, either output could be connected to a recorder as well.
