during/after high volume bass jams on my L1 Model 1 I hear fuzz and a series of beeps from the upper half of my stick. Is something being overdriven?

badarn,
It is definitely possible that you could be over-driving the L1 system. Do you recall seeing any red led light on the O/L light indicator on the trim section or channel level section of the remote? You may also have a blown driver on the top half. If you remove the top half, do you still have this issue? Let us know the answers to these questions so we can narrow down where this issue is happening.

thanks,

hello joe,
OK the beeps were odd but i haven't heard them for a while now besides some very quiet and rhythmic fuzz/popping occasionally. i can live with that for now. - what's really bothering me is the constant FUZZ. i have both Trim and Level set at 1 o'clock, no red lights, but when i set Master to 10 o'clock or higher the fuzz when i hit a string (especially the E and A strings)is overbearing! fuzz is coming from the full length of both halves of the stick. sounds very muddy. higher registers sound great, as does slapping/popping and vocals.
any help would be appreciated

badarn,
Are you using a B1 bass module as well? If so, try removing the B1 to see if the issue goes away. This sounds like a blown driver and as long as your led light is not clipping, it would sem strange that you would get an inherent fuzz with certain notes. Let us know!

thanks,

hello joe,
yes i'm using two B1s, no clipping
fuzz seems to come from full length of stick and continues with top half removed

Ok,
So, if you have no red LED on the power stand and it is localized to the tower, then we're looking at service for the tower. Please call us to setup service. Our number is 877-335-2673.

Thanks,
