I am trying to upgrade and download to my Tonematch through my Mac but I couldn't work out what a BOS file is and how to complete this.
I went through the downloaded instructions but just couldn't get it to work. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks |

Hi Mark,
A BOS file is the type of file that Bose uses specifically for Tonematch update files. In order to get the files from your Macintosh computer onto your T1, you would need to also download the "L1 Updater Tool: v1.0 for Mac", which is an application that allows you to update the T1. Another key point is that the files you download from the Bose website are actually ".zip" files, which are like packets or envelopes containing other files. In this case, they contain the ".BOS" files. You will need to extract the .BOS files from the .zip files onto a folder or a memorable location on your computer. Then, when you go to update via the updater tool, it will prompt you to browse for the .BOS file you want to use, which you should now be able to find in the folder that you extracted it to. Let us know if you need further assistance, and thank you for your post. |

Thanks Adam,
I'm slowly getting my head aroud it. Also with all of the guitar presets available can you actually save all at once so as to try out different sounds and find the best for you guitar. I have a 17 year old thin body Takamine which isnt listed. Thanks. |
