So where do you place the L1 for a Duo and or solo act? Behind you? To the side? Also do you need to use a monitor with this system?

Hi Bill,
For Solo work, I typically put the Compact about one foot behind and a couple of feet to my right. That's because when I work as a Duo, my Duo partner is always on my left, and I set up the same way. In Duos, I always put my Duo partner on my left and his/her Compact on the other side of him/her. Yes - you got that - If I'm playing in a duo, we always have two L1®s whether that is two Compacts or two of the larger L1®s depends on the gig. A little more information.
I have a T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine that I use with my Model II. I have the T1® mounted on my microphone stand. I have grown accustomed to having all my controls in front of me. The same is true with most of my duo partners. It sounds great by itself. I've just gotten used to (spoiled by) having the convenience and power of having the T1® in front of me. |
