I have an L1 model 2 with a Tone Match mixer. I also got a Zoom H1 portable recorder a while back. What are the best ways to record off the Mixer into the H1? Thanks in advance.

Hi The Gigmeister,

I don't have a Zoom H1 , so I don't have any way to test this, but it looks like a cable like this should work.

You would connect the ¼ inch jack end to the T1® Master Output (¼ inch jack back, bottom-left)

to the Zoom H1 Mic/line input Jack.

NOTE: Do NOT use one of these

Does that help?

Excellent! Now, any ideas for a long(12' or longer) cable to run out of my iPod Touch into the T1? I have my iPod mounted on my mic stand & need a longer cable.

I have done some direct recording and the backing tracks and guitar sound great. However, my vocals are distorting badly on recording playback. I inserted the Limiter into my Tonematch and it still distorted badly. Any leads how to fix this?

Hi The Gigmeister,

Does it help if you adjust things with the Input Level Buttons?

I can't find a manual online for the Zoom H1. Is there a way to set the input sensitivity lower. I can see from the diagram that Mic/line input jack is supposed to take a line-level input. Is there some way that you can switch between Mic and Line using the display?

Are you using the AUTO LEVEL switch?

I got the basic level a bit too low. The recording sounded fine until I began to sing or talk. That's when things started clipping badly. I turned down my vocal mic and it still sounded distorted.

Hi The Gigmeister,

On the T1® turn the Rotary Selector to Prefs
Turn the leftmost button under the display until you see Input Levels.
Press the button.

Is the input level on the channel you are using for your microphone significantly higher than the channel(s) with your backing track and guitar?

I am using the input level about 75 and the mic input is only a bit hotter than the backing tracks and guitar processor channel. I have a gig tomorrow night and will try to adjust levels to be more consistent. Thanks- I will let you know.
