Recently I started trying out My Bose in live settings without using a B1 bass module. I sing and use an acoustic guitar (taylor with ES). It seems to sound great to me and the system has plenty of bass without the B1. IN fact, I have to cut the bass below 12 o'clock sometimes. Granted, these are small clubs I am playing in. Is anyone playing without the B1? WHat are your experiences?

I have 3 L1's and 2 B1's - Our usual band is 1 guitar, 1 or 2 fiddles, 1 mandolin, and a flute or penny-whistle. The only time I use the B1's is when we add a bass player. At church we use an L1 with a B1 - The B1 is important for the piano and organ sounds. I hear some difference when adding the B1 for my acoustic guitar. But I'm also satisified with the guitar sound without the B1.

For voice and acoustic guitar, this is really just a matter of personal taste. Even without the B1 the system will cover the full range. Hope that helps Hilmar

Like everyone said previously, its a matter of preference... I like using one B1 for my acoustic guitar for small venues and 2 B1's for larger venues/outside... it sounds pretty 'bassy' up close, but in the audience, it's great !!

I'd rather take a B1 Bass Module with me and subsequently decide not to use it, than to leave it at home, and wish I had brought it along. Some places it I don't feel that I need it, and others it seems essential.

ST, i hear ya. That's what i've been doing. I throw in the car in case I need it. I play such tiny places and with so little room to set up that I guess I don't need it...yet!
