Hello. Has anyone had experience with the Carvin M68 vocal mic. This would be to use with classic Bose I. This is a vocal mic for my brother who has recently joined our group. My friend and I have been using Shure Beta 58's for vocals. While they sound great and work wonderfully, the Carvin is about half the price and budget is a concern at this time. Besides sounding good, I am concerned regarding feedback since we do play some outdoor gigs which require higher volumes. (Bose works quite well for that by the way.) Our vocal mics are runs through a Mackie mixer. I am skeptical that the Carvin can be as good as the Shure beta 58, but I am open to any thoughts regarding the Carvin, or other possible good quality vocal mics. Thanks, Paul

I have one.

The Carvin Mic sounds somewhat like an SM58 and rejects feedback pretty good but its more bassy and boomy sounding. As far as comparing it to a Beta 58...No comparison the Beta is way better.

Personally I would not buy the Carvin.
