So if I buy a new one today I have no worries?
Thanks ST for the input. I have been lurking in the background here and wanting one of the L1 and I got one home today!!!! Sounds awesome!!! I guess I need to get that tonematch engine, I bet it blows away a Mackie board... |

Hi Cletus McDuff,
You should be fine but let's double check. What version level is your T1®?
Right now the latest T1® firmware is 1.8. What have you got? Notes: What version of the T1® Firmware do I have? |

Buying a new T1 today! I just bought the L1 a couple days ago.

Hey Cletus McDuff,
Be sure to get the T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine power supply. This is not an option with the Model I. and consider getting a T1® Microphone Stand Adapter This makes it super easy to hang your T1® on your microphone stand if you want to do that. Follow the links above for details. |

Well the brand new T1 from a Bose store is version 1.7, I was kinda hoping since it was new it would be 1.8, oh well. Now for the update, I will try to get myself through it.

Bonjour,
Just a word of caution regarding the T1 microphone stand bracket: the clasp is made of plastic and you need to be careful when closing it. There are inserts to accommodate the various diameters of different microphone stands, but there are also 2 "lips" that can take the clasp when you close it. The first time you try the bracket on the stand ALWAYS START with the "lip" that gives you the biggest diameter. That last millimeter or so may be the difference between a relatively loose fit that can be fixed by going to the second, tighter "lip" and breaking the clasp. I speak from experience... That being said, once installed it is very useful and I keep it permanently on the microphone stand. Have fun out there! |

Iron Sky...I just tied my supplied bracket for the tower with 2 plastic zip ties on my mic stand and it wors great! I also velcroed the L1 M1 remote on the top of the T1 (I still have access to all buttons on T1) and it appears to work very well. So before i spend anymore money, i will try this at the gig.
How cool is this? I will have all controls at my finertips where I sit/stand, just simply awesome! |

David, I'm pretty sure Gtr Ctr in Peoria will give you 45 days as well. They are having a big labor day sale on Monday. I doubt the T1 is a part of it, but you could sure check it out and see. I plan on going up there myself for that one. |

Thanks for the tip, Drumr. Still saving -not quite there, however.
I might drive over and try one, though. Congrats on your new system, Cletus! Hope you like as will as I like mine. David |

Okay, I put the T1 through the paces today, very, very nice. I rigged-up the included mic stand adapter with 2 rubber hose clamps to my mic stand, I can take out the rod from the bracket for holding the T1 and the T1 sits very comfortably on it!
I velcroed the remote for the M1 to the top of the T1 for fingertip use and now I have all controls at the tip of my fingers with my right hand (makes easy for adjusting between strums if need be) right there at my mic stand! I have a pedal board with a Jamman, K & K Pure XLR pre-amp, Fender tuner and Carl martin boost on it. I cabled up everything into 2 snakes: One for the T1/Remote/mic/line/cables and one for the pedal board power and a 1/4" for channel 3 on the L1 M1. Very nice and tight, it took me mere seconds to wind them up in the pedal board when I was done. IMO, the T1 is worth the money for several reasons: 1. The manipulation of presets and parameters. 2. Compatibility. 3. Ergonomically, fingertips control while performing if need be. 4. Ease of use. 5. I have 8-channels!!! (3 on L1 base, 5 on T1) 6. Oh yeah, Killer sound! I just got started with it too, imagine what I will be able to pull out the T1 in a month or so... I bet it will take me less than 5-10 minutes to be set now, yeehaw!!!!!! This will save my back! (2 surgeries) I'm sold! |

Hi David,
Have fun with your new T1®. We have a page devoted to it in the wiki. T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine The T1® is probably my most musical piece of gear. That is: it let's me get to the music. It doesn't get in the way. |

Thanks, ST.
I'm looking for the utility type ToneMatch presets and can't find them. I printed the "Audio Engine ToneMatch banks, but they don't include the various notch or high-pass / low-pass presets. Where are those? Also, is Bose working on any presets for the K&K Sound Pure Western Mini? Thanks! David |

Hi David,
When you get your T1® Turn the rotary selector to ToneMatch® Category: Utility Preset ..... you can scroll through six different Presets. 1 Flat 2 50Hz Highpass filter 3 80Hz Highpass filter 4 5kHz Lowpass filter 5 50Hz-5kHz Bandpass filter 6 80Hz-5kHz Bandpass filter The sixth one will say 50Hz-5kHz Bandbass filter. It really is 80Hz-5kHz Bandpass filter. Here is a link to a list of T1® Factory Presets |

Hi David,
Sorry, I missed this one. I don't know, but you could try asking in the Ask Bose for Help forum. In the meantime I would try all the Acoustic Guitar Presets and also the Taylor Guitar Presets to see if there is anything there that you like. |

David, You really need a T1. |

Hey David,
I'm waiting to hear your review on this. Also, will you still use the K&K pre? thanks, Mike O |

Hi Mike, I will be using my T1 for the first time tomorrow night. I will definitely being a/b-ing with and without the Pure XLR preamp. I did try with and without in the store and heard a big difference in bass response - too much bass without the preamp.
I'll report back after Thurs and Fri gigs. David |
