Last night I used my new L1 with 2 B1's for the first time. Words alone can't describe how I felt about the sound. I am a solo act, and I had spent several hours tweaking the sound at home. Now mind you, my practice room at home is in a small carpeted bedroom. It took me 20 minutes to load in and set up for the gig. I had previosly put my guitar, microphone, and remote cables into a snake format, along with the cables that I am using to insert effects into Channels 1 & 2, so this simplified setup. The bar I was playing in has hardwood floors and lots of reflective surfaces. It is notorious for being a "boomy" room. I fired everything up for a sound check and I coundn't believe it. The sound was just as good as it was at home. I never touched a dial except for the volume control. The bartender who has heard me play there many times before kept talking all night about how awesome the sound was. Needless to say I was very pleased. I have invested as you all know, a fair amonut of money into this new sound system, but when I heard how it sounded in there, I felt that it was worth every cent. My kudo's to everyone at Bose. Hi: Congratulations! I know just how you feel. And welcome to the "I can't believe how good it sounds" club. Stu

Congratulations Gene! It sounds like all that preparation went a long way (your preparation, and the folks-at-Bose). Nice reminder about putting the cables in a snake format. I frequently find that the L1™ does a good job of taming boomy rooms. You will enjoy that every time it happens. Thanks for sharing your first time out experience.

Thanks to both of you. I learned a lot from this site before I ever even received my L1. The snake idea is a great time saver and cuts down on the tangled up cable aggravation factor. GT

Gene, I too like the ease of setup with having cables snaked together. I just finished playing a women's brunch at my Church, and couldn't believe how well it went. I had my L1 set up with my Ipod into #3, and let it play softly during the meal, then played about a 40 minute set. The average age with about 10 kids under 10 was 70. Everyone loved the sound. I love my L1.

Gordy, I plugged my CD player into 3 & 4 and put on a John Mayer CD while I took a break and it sounded awesome. I usually play for 3 hours and only take one break of about 15 to 20 minutes but it's still nice to keep some music going. Ted, Can't wait to hear you report. I'm still bouncing with happiness from that first gig with the new system. It's the first time that I really felt that my music was accurately reproduced, and that means everything to me.

Gene, As others have said, "Welcome to the Club". It is so much fun to be excited about performing because you get to hear yourself through your sound system. I can't tell you how many times I dreaded setting up in the past. Now with the L1, it not only is quicker to set up, but you actually look forward to what you will hear. You are setting up with the anticipation of having a good result. It makes the setup time seem like nothing. I often don't even hook up my effects, or my in line tuner to the effects loop, because I can't wait to start playing. I also did some recording recently, and I think that my vocals are better now because of how well I hear myself during my gigs. I have become a much stronger performer since getting and using the L1. Thanks again Bose and all who work for that great company. I am excited to get to hear the L1 MII and especially the T1.
