Has anyone tried adding a graphic to the vocal to help eliminate a specific frequency that is causing feedback? If so how do you wire it?

Hi Stan,

Thank you for joining the Message Board.

I will assume that you have an L1® Model I (or Classic) since there is a parametric EQ built into the T1® so you probably wouldn't need a graphic equalizer if you had a T1® and Model II.

Graphic Equalizer
If you want to use a graphic equalizer...
Please see PS1 Power Stand Effects Serial.

This will show you how to use the INSERT point on the Model I (or Classic) Power Stand to connect an effects unit in "serial". In this case your graphic equalizer is the effects unit.

Feedback
Probably simpler is look at other ways to deal with feedback.

Thanks for the quick response. I do use the tonematch but finding the frequency on the parametric to cut is a hit or a miss and of course you are limited to once frequency. Using an in line graphic with the facility to show which frequency is causing the problem is a quick and easy fix to eliminate stage feedback live especially when you play venues which does not allow you much time, if any, to sound check.

Any other suggestions on the subject are most welcome.

Hi Stan,

Can you tell us what L1® equipment you have? (Classic, Model I, Model II, T1®, PackLite)

And how you are connecting your T1® to the Power Stand.

What kind of feedback issue are we talking about? (What input source, what are you hearing, what other things have you tried to eliminate the feedback - that is, other than using the T1® Para EQ).

This might help you to find the problem frequency. It doesn't help if there are more than one, but if the issue is feedback, nailing the one frequency is usually enough for me.
