I know people are going to say I'm pushing it with this, but has anyone tried to do anything like the the following band scenario into one L1M2T1?
Me: guitar and vocal mic (guitar is via Boss GT-Pro processor) Bass player: just vocal mic (has own bass amp) Keyboard: just keyboard feed Drummer: Roland electronic kit feed. Given that the system will amplify music signals (CD, MP3 etc) comprising all of those (at least!), then in theory it should be capable of handing the live versions of those sources? We do stuff from Beatles though Eagles to Cream and ZZ top. No out and out heavy stuff with low eq'd guitar though. Talk me through the pros and cons please. Thanks. |

Hi Steve,
As close as I've been to your proposed scenario is a trio, Gtr/bass/E-drums/3-vocals into a single L1(w/4-B1s)in an Assisted living community rec room (large). We had no problems with volume, but kept it down pretty low. I liked the sound. Bassist and guitarist didn't like that setup, they thought it too restricting as far as spacial imaging and monitoring capabilities. I see their point, it's a little harder to pick out your own voice when all 3 are singing/playing, but it didn't bother me that much. I could have kept right on playing that way and been happy. Can't tell you much more than that other than describe the setup. Me on the left, gtr/lead vocal center, bassist on right, all seated and close enough to touch each other. L1 behind singer. T1: Ch 1 - lead vocal Ch 2 - backup vocal 1 Ch 3 - backup vocal 2 Ch 4 - gtr via effects pedal Ch 5 - bass via Bass POD Power Stand Analog Input - E-drums |
