Would something like an OSP stereo to mono direct box with two 1/4" inputs and an XLR out be a viable option for solving my tracks issue? I`m using a mini-stereo plug from my player into a 1/4" Y adaptor into Channel 2 on the L1 for my tracks and seem to be losing volume/quality PLUS I`ve been reading about the techical minuses re: using a Y! As ever, any advice would be appreciated....

Hi Zatoichi,

I'm not familiar with an OPS stereo to mono direct box, but if you can use Channels 3 and 4, please see uBacking Tracks for some details about how you would do that.

Thanks as always ST, but I don`t want to use CHs 3 and 4 since I obviously have no direct control over volume/tone with the remote which is such a major plus, so there has to be another more economical way.
