I have successfully updated my T1 using the Updater. But am unable to update the Power Stand.
There is no provision for it in the Updater Menu. Here is a pic of the Updater pfd file showing the menu, and below that is a screenshot of the menu I get from my updater. My updater is version 1.0 and I can't find anything new. What's next? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Drumr, ![]() |

I just checked in the Prefs on the T1, and it says "Power Stand Not Connected". It is definitely connected.
Powered everything off, reconnected Cat5, then back on, still says not connected. Just noticed, B1 not connected, will attach and try again. |

No go.
Tried a microphone, sound is fine as always. Tried alternate Cat5 cable from the office, with this cable the T1 would not power up. That's all for now. Will try again at home later with USB2. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Drumr, |

Hooked up the PSII and T1 at home on a PC with USB-2. T1 Prefs Still not recognizing the Power Stand, and Updater menu not seeing it either.
Also tried another "home network" type Cat-5 cable with the same result, T1 will not power up. |

I had the exact same experience - noted in this thread about T1 updates
I have 2 T1s and only one of them can see my L1 according to the updater, but the T1 prefs shows it's CONNECTED. I updated the L1 eventually via T1 #1, but when updating T1 #2 I noticed it could NEVER see the L1 (per the updater GUI). My experience sounds like yours. >>> Jam Heavily >>> 3 T1s, 1 Classic & 1 Model II L1, 4 B1s, and a Compact >>>----> : ) |

Hi Chip,
Thanks for chiming in. Have you tried a non-Bose Cat-5 to see if it has my problem on on the "other" T1? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Drumr, |

Just a note regarding substitute cables.
If you are grabbing a network cable that was laying around, you may have an old "Crossover" Cable. Crossover cables were for connecting hubs and routers before "Uplink" or auto-sensing was invented. They look like a normal Catagory 5 cable, but the pairs are pinned out differently. Most new routers, hubs and switch's will auto-sense the pinouts of a "Crossover" cable and work fine. However, I doubt the Bose will auto-sense the cable. You can tell if it's a crossed over cable by looking at both ends. Hold the cable ends side-by-side, so that they are both facing the same direction. All the colors should match from pin 1 to pin 8. If the colors don't match on each end, it's crossed over and probably won't work. There are many of these old cables still floating around. I probably have a couple still in use in my home network. "The Cubs" - The all Bose band by Choice. If Bose had not designed the "L1", we would not be playing. (Rick - Guitar/Vocal) |

Hi,
We are looking into this and trying to re-create the problem on our end. I do know that in some cases power cycling the power stand can alleviate this problem. I will reply to this thread as soon as I know more. Craig |

RE: Updater says T1#2 doesn't "see" my only L1M2 via ToneMatch cable/link.
I'm using the SAME "ToneMatch" cable that came with T1#1 and only T1#2 doesn't see the L1. T1#1 "sees" the L1 (per Updater). Both T1's PREFs show CONNECTED on their Blue Screen. NOTE: T1#2 was purchased for my Classic - was only used twice before the UPDATE, and was POWERED (before the doing the update) by the EXTERNAL POWER thingamajig. Hope this helps. >>> Jam Heavily >>> 3 T1s, 1 Classic & 1 Model II L1, 4 B1s, and a Compact >>>----> : ) |

Hi, I recently updated my Power Stand Fimrware. I have tried in several attempts to power cycling the entire system and still T1 does not recognize PS. In fact, when trying to use L1 by itself without T1; the analog input does not pick up anything. It does not even show the signal/clip led on when using an instrument on that input. Problem began after updating to new firmware 1.6; I am so frustrated that no answers have been provided in this thread.
Your assistance will be greatlly appreciated. |

Hello everyone,
I have had this same problem after updating to the new 1.3 firmware. T1 would show the Power Stand as "Not Connected" and PSII Update option was completely missing from the L1 Updater (newest version) software. Was sent back to Bose RMA# T13110388. After searching on this site it seems like there are a few instances of this happening to others. Do we (you) have any updates on why this is happening? I believe that one person mentioned that their processor ended up getting replaced? Are there are bad batch of them? It doesn't seem to be a widespread problem, but there are definitely a few of us out here that have had this issue and I believe had to return our bases and be non-functional for 2+ weeks because of it. |
