I keep a Pro-Mag around for friends to use when they sit in... Haven't found any info on it searching the forum, but I am wondering if there is a settings file available for it and, if not, what settings other folks are using for it.

Hi Don B,

The Dean Markley ProMag™ Plus is my gigging pickup of choice. I use it in both my 12 string hand made guitars, one I've been playing for close to 30 years and the other I just acquired in December. The ProMag™ Plus is an incredibly great sounding acoustic guitar pickup.

I have a gig this Friday so I will verify my settings but from memory I use the Taylor Dreadnought fingered preset. I play with a pick with a combination of cross picking and strumming. I've had a couple of occasions where other musicians have used my pickup in their guitar with my settings and they didn't even change my zEQ settings. They loved the sound; it was also the first time they played through an L1®.

Although my two 12 string guitars have their own voices, I use the same preset with minor zEQ adjustments. Both guitars have D'Addario EJ38 Light Phosphor Bronze strings.

I will be using my 6 string acoustic for the first time next week. I've owned it since 1975 but had not played it for many years. I will let you know what settings I will have used.

Thanks for the input. I have an Alvarez 12-string that I will try that on.

My 6-string Alvarez has an LR Baggs M1 mounted in it and there is a specific preset available for that. It sounds amazing!

I wonder if Bose has any intentions of adding more presets to the list, or if any kind of development is out there.....

Don B,

The M1 preset works pretty well for me for most magnetic pickups. Cliff also made me one at the Cuchara conference for the Sunrise which works well for that pickup, although I still use the M1 preset, either active or passive, on the Sunrise too.
