I was all excited about installing my T1 mic stand holder for my gig tonight, and it broke, bad casting on one spot. Man....the guys at Bose were very helping about getting me another one out quickly and getting me a return for the damageed one. Any one else had a problem with one breaking? If so I'm sure Bose will look at it, I kinda think I just got a bad cast.

Hi! rustleo
I feel your pain.I'm not sure if you know it or not but the inner part of the stand clamp can be adjusted for different diameter stands. And also you must be very careful of the pin that holds the hindge on. They can fall out very easly. You might want to put a little dab of locktite on one end. These are some things that I found out useing mind. I hope this helps you a little. Bose user Todd |

Hi rustleo. There have been issues with these and many "BOSER's" have had problems. Mine broke too but Long & McQuade store(BOSE distributor) took it back and replaced it no problem no questions asked. The design is cool in that you can adapt to various stand thicknesses but they DO seem break easily.

rustleo,
Is yours made of aluminum? Mine are all made out of plastic. I had hoped they would change to cast aluminum at some point. The plastic ones break very easily. Tom |

My first clip, lost the pin after 2 gig's.
I called Bose and they replaced it right away. I have not had any problems with the new one and it has been over a year. I attach it to the mic stand for every gig and remove it to my gig case at each end. |

Hi folks,
Just to add my bit to this discussion. We have had a few failures of the clip in the UK and they have all either been a pin on the hinge dropping out or the clamp itself breaking. However, I want to emphasis that the breakages represent a very small number of the total sales. A common thread (putting the loose pin hinge matter to one side) is that folk expect to have to clamp the bracket really tight onto a mic stand in order for the thing to work. The key here is to use the card mic stand tube measurement tool, supplied with the bracket, and to not overtighten the clamp. It's a bit like a mic stand's clutch going as a result of over tightening. A second tip is to look at the two ridges which the clamp grabs when being mounted onto a mic stand. For my applications I have the clamp grab between the two ridges (when the bracket is on the upper vertical section of a stand) and not reach to go over the farthest ridge. My brackets have been in use for shows, demos etc for more than two years without incident. Hope that helps/reassures. best wishes, Andy |

I understand that nothing is perfect. Bose expedited my new one to me before I could even send the old one back. Thats good service.

I have never removed my new one until now, and then it broke putting it back on. Duct Tape I guess.
