Preset for guitars with piezo and mic? (dtar multisource,APMic)

I know that we should judge the sound with our ears, not by preset name, but.. Playing MATON ebg808TE with APMic system (condenser mic + piezo) and TAYLOR 310ce with DTAR Multisource (condenser mic + piezo)...
Presets for acoustic guitar are:
Steel String w/piezo
Steel string w/cond.
Steel string w/dyn.
Any suggestions? They all sound interesting to me,but which is closest? Confused Thank you

Hi svrle,

The presets you mention are general use presets, there are others with particular guitar and pickup names, but, none should be considered useful only to the specified name.

I would encourage you to scroll through the various presets, with eq set flat. When one sounds good to you tweak the eq a bit to see if it suits you.

You may find that both of your guitars like the same preset, maybe not. Because of the many variables my preference may not suit you at all.

Experimenting can be both fun and eye (ear) opening. Play around. Enjoy.

I'd try a couple of the Baggs presets in the Baggs download that have piezo UST with mic.

Thanks for reply! Having L1II with Tonematch, 11 ac.guitar factory presets there now..(I know that I can download more) Not sure that i understand how to set EQ flat cause it seems that they are already flat (if I choose one preset from the list-select-turning knob to zEQ=LO/MID/HIGH are 0 flat already for all presets) Do I miss something? It would be useful to see EQ curve for the presets..Do I have to say that I am an Bose rookie? Smile Thanks

Hi svrle,

You are correct, 0 indicates flat setting for zEQ.

EQ curves for the presets are not published, but would serve no real purpose as they relate to the response of the L1 and might not look the same as a curve set for your previous system in a difficult room.

Tom mentioned Baggs presets, I happen to play Baggs equiped guitars and prefer the Taylor presets, that just shows that personal preference rules.

I also use Para EQ sometimes on my guitar channel when using the T1, usually I am making a cut to control low end rumble relating to the A or D string. Different rooms and proximity to the B1 will dictate if, and what, you might need to adjust.
