I am a solo vocalist performing to backing tracks in mp3 format from a laptop I also DJ between sets and sometimes do DJ or Karaoke gigs. I use VDJ to play my tracks and the output is routed through the built-in sound module of my Denon HC4500 controller and then through the Denon X900 mixer on to either my Mackie Onyx 1620 or to the T1.

Can anyone explain to me the different EQ settings that are featured in the DJ/Playback (Low volume music, High volume music) presets, I noted that the actual user EQ settings are unaffected by them so there is no visual guide as to what correction is being applied.

I am still experimenting with the Tonematch and haven't found a mic setting that I like yet (I am using EV ND767 & ND967's) and I think it is the Mackie pre-amps that give me the sound I want. I also use TC-Helicon Voicelive which I can use directly into the T1 or via the Mackie Onyx. I would really like to use the T1 but my vocal just doesn't sound as good as through the Mackie or the Voicelive pre-amps I get a kind of 'Boxy' sound that is kind of cold sounding compared to the other two.

If I want to use the T1 with output from the Voicelive (ie Mic into the Voicelive and output from Voicelive into T1) what setting would you suggest I use on the T1?

Qualitatively:
"Low volume" boosts both the lows and the highs (typical "smile" EQ)

"High volume" is primarily just a bass boost.
