If you want to listen to the T1® through headphones - just connect to the headphones to the ¼ inch Master Output.

At that point you will have sound coming from both the headphones and the Model II (if you have one).

To mute the sound out of the Model II,

  1. turn the Rotary Selector to Prefs
  2. set the menu to Master Out
  3. set the Master Out to Pre Master Volume

Turn down the Master Volume knob.
This will allow you to hear the T1® through the headphones with no sound coming from the Model II.

You will control the volume you hear with the individual T1® Channel Volume controls.

In the headphones you will be hearing mono, with the channels (left and right) 180° out of phase. This will not sound odd, and there will be no interaction between the channels because the sound from the left and right transducers (headphones) are not mixing in the air.

PS - that's Doctor Bose.

mystic,

You might find it interesting to read Ken's thoughts on stereo.

Stereo

I'm not saying the boys aren't working on stereo in the L1® (who knows what they're up to in Framingham,) but I found Ken's thoughts very enlightening myself.

Yes, this equip. and the concept is great; however, let's not forget the folks this concept is designed to support. The working professional performer wants equip. to do the job for the best monetary value possible. If Bose adds every gadget into the unit instead of keeping the vision focused on the task of live professional performance, td be a disservice as well as lost sales.

I second that emotion.

Stereo is useless to me in practically every live gig situation I play.

And to think, with my old conventional PA I used to ALWAYS run in stereo, and laugh at those who didn't......
