I just got two L1 systems/two B1 for each system with ToneMatch each about two weeks ago for jam session and still playing around with Tone Match. I have two questions:

(1) One of our band member using Yamaha SLG100N and I could not find a setting that matched to his liking, when plug into the L1 ToneMatch, we have increase hiss-noise more than double in the background when plug-in Yamaha SLG100N. I even play around with other settings (zEQ, ParaEQ, Delay, Reverb) in addition to setting the ToneMatch to Acousting Nylon String but none would provide a good sound and get rid-off the background hiss-noise. Would Bose have any suggestion ?

(2) I used Yamaha Mixer 01V96VCM to feed L1 for vocal inputs and other instruments (keyboard, overhead condenser drum mic, kick drum, bass, etc...), should I select Flat for ToneMatch or would you recommending something else ? I'm planning to put acoustic guitar through the ToneMatch.

Thanks,
Ly

I never had the problem with the steel string YSG. Make sure the onboard reverb is off.

If I read this correctly, you are currently just using two channels on the T1? (one for the guitar & one for the Yamaha mixer)

If so, what I would do is to think of the Yamaha as two separate mixers by fully panning all the vocal inputs to one side (let's pick Left) and all the other inputs hard to the other side (Right). Then, take the Left out of the Yamaha to one of the T1 Channels, choosing a Vocal Mic preset which matches most of the mics -- and try several of those Vocal Presets to see which 'sounds best' with your mics. (this comparison should be done after you've got all the gain-staging proper, of course).

The other (Right) Yamaha output would go into another T1 input, Utility/Flat ... which is the same as Bypass.

Now, having written that ...

Do you have two T1's -- one for each L1? And which L1 Model did you get? (Model 2 has the smaller base with the 'legs')
