OK gang! I worked and tweaked for two days in a school auditorium that I had to myself. Not a soul there but me. So, I really expriemented. In all, about 8 hours. What a luxury!

Here's the review!

I start with I am selling the two traditional PAs I own and thinking of adding to the PAS in some way. OK - that's out of the way and says volumes.

I ran my Martin 00016aura through my DTAR Solstic and also used a mic on it (the AKG 3000) then into the Bose system. (Thanks to Maury for selling me that unit). Best live guitar sound I have ever experienced. Very full - very beautiful - toneful. Never distorted at all.

I was a bit disappointed in my dc15e. Couldn't quite get the sound I was looking for but will continue to experiment.

My OM42 was unbelievable. I only used the AKG on it and it took over the large room. I can only imagine what it would do to a small, intiment room.

I played songs out of my performance list in ways I have never played them before because I could actually hear them. My ability to use dynamics was incredible - something I worked on for years and never achieved the level I did this weekend. It changed my playing instantly.

I only used an SM58 mic for vocals. It was powerful and also toneful. No need for reverb. I loved being able to control the volume and tone from where I was standing rather than reaching down to a rack of equipment. Basically, I am a tenor with a three octave range so the PAS got a good workout there.

The system is wonderful. I only wish I had made the move sooner. It will change my playing in ways I can't imagine. I am looking at the mix and dynamics of my playing with a new eye (and ear). To all those who said good things about the system (and I've only heard good things), thank you for your inspiration and encouragement. As I said earlier, the one post that "kicked me over the edge" came from dave42. I don't know what it was about the post but I was instantly sold and on the phone with Bose.

I'll provide more information as I get more experiences with the system. But for now, I have discovered the presets that work for me and am in love with the system.
