There's a farmers' market in LA's San Fernando Valley every Wednesday night that I attend frequently. I've heard a couple of excellent bands there, and a lot of inadequate sound systems. One group in particular had a good stereo mix for what seemed like a 15° spread in the center, and mush everywhere else.

I showed up a few weeks ago and spotted three PAS's for the first time. It turned out to be Banshee in the Kitchen, and (not surprisingly) they played and sounded great. Wish I could have stayed longer that night.

Having the PAS's also had the effect of it not seeming like there were walls boxing in the players, as is often the case with the normal backline and speakers on tripods.
