The bose PAS is worth the effort to get it doing what you need doing. As you know its your mixer, amp, monitor and PA. Easy to set up and carry.
We had what was thought to be easy to set up conventional system. Mackie active powered mains EV active powered 18" subs in ear monitors no stage amps I did sound and never was sure what the audience was hearing. The in ear mix was good but isolated you from your audience. With the BOSE PAS I know what I'm hearing is the same everyone is hearing (be it good or bad) When its bad I know to fix it. The setup teardown time is 15 min for three sticks and associated equipment and it all fits in a mini van with 2 back seats still up and 5 or 6 instruments. And my back is the the better for it. - NEBADON2000, July 7, 2005 - full thread here |
