I just did a gig this Friday night using just the Compact straight in and no extensions. The Bar & Grill is about 40'x80' and holds about 100 people.I play this gig about once a month and have been using my Model II for about two years here.
I pluggeg my Audix OM3 mic straight into Ch.1 at 12:00 on all knobs.My Tele guitar went into my Korg ToneWorks then into Ch.2 with TM switch on at 1:00 volume position.I ran backing tracks from my Jamman into the iPod input.End result was alot of compliments with about 50 people.Once it got filled up with 100 people I raised Ch.1 up to about 1:30 position.It was just starting to clip red very few times.It did the job.I got one gig out of this due to the fact this person needed an entertainer for a small house gathering.He could not believe how good everything sounded with just this little system.He had thought about hiring someone else but felt he could not accomidate their equiptment and footprint requirenments.Once it filled up with about 100 people I raised the mic vol. I got some more good compliments.
The Compact was about 5 feet behind me and about 30 degrees to my left.I didn't get any mic feedback at anytime.I had good compilments on the guitar tone as well.
I am attaching some pics taken with my wife's cell phone.I did try the guitar Ch.2 without the TM on , but I didn't like the sound. This Compact is truly amazing.Simplicity at it's finest.This first pic is before starting time showing stage area.
